Physician Assistant

Department: Highland Park Medical
Location: Los Angeles, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides evaluation and treatment for non-surgical medicine under the direction and supervision of the supervising physician.


•Establish history and perform pertinent physical examination and compile medical data such as imaging results
•Ordering diagnostic tests such as x-ray, CT scans, MRI scans, and EMG (electromyography) tests
•Establish the diagnosis and develop/implement patient treatment plan, and continue with continuity of care
•Council patients regarding the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment plan
•Utilize basic musculoskeletal ultrasound techniques for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
•Perform procedures including venipuncture, muscle/tendon/joint injections
•Prescribe medications orthotics, physical therapy, procedures, and other pertinent treatments
•Dictation of notes for every patient seen

Education and Experience 

Graduate of an AMA accredited program and two years Physician Assistant experience in a relevant clinical area required

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants, Licensure by the State of California. Certified to perform Basic Life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support.
